ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONDITION REPORT

We provide Electrical Installation Condition Reports (also known as Fixed Wiring Testing) across all types of commercial and industrial premises, carried out by fully qualified engineers. To make things easier and more manageable, we offer staggered testing contracts — for example, we can test 20% of your installation each year over five years, ensuring the entire site is covered within the required timeframe.

What You Need to Know

As a duty holder, you're required to do what's reasonably practicable to protect people from harm. One key part of this is ensuring your electrical systems are safe and regularly tested in line with regulations.

To stay compliant, you're expected to maintain a register of your fixed wiring, including test results, any faults found, and details of remedial actions taken. This is all covered through what is known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) - a thorough test and inspection of your fixed wiring systems, carried out at regular intervals as set out in BS7671 wiring regulations.

Some environments - like those with moisture, dust or high use - may need certain circuits tested more often due to the increased risk.

Why it Matters

Ignoring fixed wiring testing puts people and property at risk. Faulty or deteriorating wiring is one of the leading causes of electrical fires - many of which are preventable. By acting now, you're not just ticking a compliance box - you're doing the right thing to protect your people, your property, and your business.
